The Trees Keep Returning
Trees have been with me throughout my painting life — as subject, as teacher, as threshold between the observed and the imagined. This small collection brings together watercolours made directly from observation and ink paintings that have moved further into memory and inner experience.
Ink marbling is an internal process, through which I respond to fluid marks as they emerge.
