Avyakta-mūrti, "unmanifest form", comes from the Bhagavad Gita, where it describes the divine pervading the whole universe while remaining unseen. In this painting, Shri Ganesha, the embodiment of innocence and remover of obstacles, rises above a gathering of people. His form dissolves into the swirling marbled patterns around him, present everywhere yet fixed nowhere.

Beside him, a winged angel stands before the seekers as a guide, bridging the heavenly and the earthly.

For me, the marbling itself expresses the title. The flowing ink is the unmanifest, the formless potential from which everything arises. As figures gradually emerge from it, the painting becomes an act of manifestation: the divine taking form in the physical world.
