This is a painting inspired by the movie movie ‘Bab’ Aziz’.

At its core it is a film about the journey of the soul, set against a vast desert landscape.

In my painting, I depict the Prince lost in contemplation by a spring. To the left, Ishtar holds onto Baba Aziz, symbolizing their deep love and compassion. Baba Aziz comforts Ishtar, saying “He who has faith will never get lost, my little angel.” Further left, Baba Aziz merges with eternity, portrayed through blending with marbling and a rising kundalini stem blooming into a lotus, symbolizing complete enlightenment and ascension.
